Our First Assay is Released!

Our forté is small molecular weight immunoassays and we carry out all the chemistry that is required for making superb antibodies. We are busy raising rabbit polyclonal antibodies to 2 targets, a process that can take 3-9 months. As our 2 target antibodies are developing (we have standard curves for both), we turned our attention to an enzyme activity assay. Measuring the activity of Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) has been a prominent biological and clinical marker for many years. Most “Research Use Only” (RUO) assays used for typical research are non-quantitative, difficult to use and have limited stability.

On September 20, 2021 we transferred our assay reagents for evaluation by our partner, Arbor Assays, for inclusion in their repertoire. It uses all liquid reagents, stable at 4°C and it behaves itself! If you double the amount of AP in the well the ODs increase by 2, double the incubation time and the ODs increase by 2, increase the temperature and the ODs increase. This assay should be available by the end of 2021. Look out for it!
